Need Help locating a truck

need your guys help finding a 1982 S10 Drag truck. my father was supposed to get it when my grandfather passed away but my grandfathers GF told my dad that someone showed up with a paper that said he owed money on the truck and took everything. it would really mean a lot if we could find it and im hoping you guys can help.

Look through his paperwork for a name or a company. That's the best way to start.

If you have the VIN then that's good. If not it's probably lost.

unfortunantly we are 900 miles away and the GF said everything is gone, dont have the vvin as far as i know but was hoping that the custom work would make it a little easier to find

I don't want to tear your heart out by the aorta but hunting down cars like this is often a big and fruitless task. Way back when you could call and write around to get info and usually you could find out what you needed to know (albeit slowly). Now with privacy laws and such even having the Internet sometimes doesn't help. Police will NOT run a VIN unless you have a damn good reason.

In this case it's not a "regular" car that would be titled and therefore documented at the DMV/Carfax, etc. Try scouring Racingjunk.com, maybe something will turn up.

Best of luck to you. I've been looking for my dad's super stock Nova for 15 years and can't get anywhere with just pictures and old license plate numbers.
